ClifMar
Associates Limited have an extensive range of immunological
services that they can offer. They include all aspects of monoclonal
and polyclonal antibody generation, production and application.
ClifMar Associates
have been providing specialized immunoaffinity purification
technologies and immunoassay services for more than 15 years
and have actively pursued and supported research into associated
fields within the School of Biomedical & Life Sciences at
the University of Surrey and elsewhere. It has succeeded in
gaining significant R&D contracts with government agencies
and commercial organizations both within the UK, Europe and
the USA. We are hence able provide a full portfolio of immunological
services on a commercial basis.
ClifMar Associates
have many years of experience in antibody production and use,
with particular emphasis on the generation of immune response
to haptens and small molecules; the production of monoclonal
antibodies from sheep, cattle and other non-murine species;
immunoaffinity purification and assay; and immunoassay services.
We can offer the
following services, customized to your requirements and competitively
priced:
Immunogen preparation.
Production of polyclonal antisera in a range of animal species,
adjuvant selection and supply.
Generation of monoclonal antibodies.
Generation of heterohybridoma cell lines - exploiting the inherent
advantages of certain non-rodent species to particular antigens,
antibodies of exceptionally high affinity can be produced. The
procedure does not require the sacrifice of the donor animal
and so does not compromise the continued production of polyclonal
antisera.
Contract cell services including mycoplasma screening and preparation
and storage of primary and secondary cell banks (not currently
available).
Production of monoclonal antibodies to multi-gram amounts using
a range of techniques.
Purification of antisera/antibodies using chromatographic and
immunoaffinity techniques including proprietary solid-phase
technology.
Development of screening systems for antibody detection using
ELISA, membrane-based, and RIA systems.
Characterization of cell lines and their secreted products,
including karyotyping, isotyping, PAGE, agarose gel electrophoresis,
IEF and Western blot (not currently available).
Preparation of antibody derivatives including antibody fragments
and conjugates with enzymes, biotin/avidin, fluorescent and
chemiluminescent labels.
Applications development including the use of antibodies in
assay and purification systems.
All the above services
can be provided from our facility located at the University
of Surrey or we can provide assistance within your own facility.
